Julia Krasinski is the kind of artist who refuses to be boxed in or silenced. Using her real name as her stage name, she makes it clear that she is not hiding behind a character. She is raw, direct, and ready to claim her space in music. Growing up in Freeland, Michigan, Julia’s earliest memories of music go back to being a kid in East Tawas, sitting in her cousin André’s room while heavy rock and metal blasted from the speakers. Those nights of watching André jam with his friends and play Call of Duty became the spark that set her down the path she follows today.
Her first big leap into music came in seventh grade at a school talent show. She took the stage to perform “In The End” by Black Veil Brides, and in that moment she realized what she wanted to do with her life. The aftermath was not easy. Kids mocked her and called her the “weirdo who sang in the talent show.” Julia stood her ground and snapped back with pride, saying “fuck yea I am.” That moment became a lesson in resilience and set the tone for the way she would carry herself as an artist.
Julia began making her own music seriously about a year and a half ago. After breaking free from an abusive relationship, she used the pain as motivation to create something powerful. Her debut single Bastard, released in May 2025, is a fearless track about her past. It is not hateful or bitter, but instead a bold declaration of strength and survival. Julia wanted the song to speak energy that says “fuck you” to the past while opening the door to a future where she calls the shots. The response so far has been nothing short of powerful, with listeners praising her honesty and heavy-hitting delivery.
Her sound blends alternative, rock, and heavy influences, and she is training her voice to dive even deeper into heavy metal territory. While she does not yet play an instrument, she treats her voice as her weapon, fierce and uncompromising. Julia pulls inspiration from artists like Black Veil Brides, Lilith Czar, Chandler Leighton, Nessa Barrett, Huddy, MGK, YungBlud, jxdn, Leah Kate, and Caroline Carr, blending their influence into a style that is unapologetically her own.
The most defining moment of her career so far has been creating Bastard. It marked her beginning, her breakthrough, and her declaration that she is here to stay. Julia embraces the grind, the imperfections, and the growth that comes with being an artist in progress. For her, it is not about being perfect. It is about being real.
