Golden State survived a stronger second half from the Timberwolves to win 119-114.
Golden State’s October 28 trip to Minnesota ended with a 119-114 victory, powered by Stephen Curry’s 44 points. The final score was tighter than the halftime margin.
A 30-point first quarter and 34-point second period put the Warriors up 64-48 at the break. Minnesota then scored 33 in each remaining quarter.
Curry’s foul shooting was flawless: 16 attempts, 16 makes. Six of his 11 field goals came from three-point range.
He also recorded six assists and eight rebounds. Those numbers accompanied two steals on a night when his scoring drove Golden State’s offense.
Yaxel Lendeborg was the other major scoring contributor, finishing with 26 points. His nine rebounds helped complete a substantial supporting performance.
The Timberwolves cut into the deficit throughout the second half, but Golden State’s earlier cushion held. The Warriors scored 26 in the fourth to complete the road win.
