Birmingham rapper MR JONES will release “BRUCE WAYNE” on October 31, continuing an independent career that began with DJing and early grime recordings.
Before MR JONES began building his catalogue as a rapper, he was learning his way around the decks. Born and raised in Birmingham, he started DJing at 14 and recorded his first track that same year at South Birmingham College in Digbeth, establishing a connection to music that now leads into his forthcoming single, “BRUCE WAYNE.”
Due on October 31, 2026, the release follows his progression from grime into rap and his decision to put music out independently. His early underground mixtape “Hunger in the Heath” gave him a place to develop that approach, while subsequent collaborations helped expand his local network.
For the new single, Jones worked with producer Coatse Beats and recorded at Smokehouse Studios in South Birmingham. The session took roughly four to five hours, bringing together a freestyle-driven idea and the beat-first writing process that guides his work.
Jones begins by finding production he feels connected to, then lets the lyrics develop from there. He typically spends a week or two refining a track, returning to its flow as ideas take shape rather than treating the first version as the finished result.
The visual for “BRUCE WAYNE” was created with P110 Music Channel at a local creative arts centre. Filmed in a black room with Jones and a microphone, its stripped-back setup keeps attention on the performance and the words.
Another marker in his catalogue is “The Journey Begins,” his 2017 mixtape hosted by DJ SN1 Big Ryde. The forthcoming single continues that independent trajectory, with “BRUCE WAYNE” available to pre-save ahead of its October 31 arrival.
