Beyond the Gates turned its first Daytime Emmy eligibility year into four wins, with Tamara Tunie and Ambyr Michelle earning acting honors alongside recognition for the CBS drama’s production teams.

Beyond the Gates emerged from the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards with victories on both sides of the camera. Tamara Tunie won lead actress for her performance as Anita Williams Dupree, while Ambyr Michelle received the emerging-talent award for playing Eva Thomas. The results, announced October 30, gave the drama two acting wins in its first year of eligibility.

The series also won for lighting direction and for hairstyling and makeup, bringing its total to four. Those production awards joined the individual performances in a strong showing for the relatively new soap. CBS counted ten wins across its programming and CBS Media Ventures, up from eight in 2025.

The show’s official series description places the Dupree family inside an affluent gated community in Maryland, outside Washington, D.C. Tunie plays the family’s Anita Dupree alongside Clifton Davis as Vernon, with Daphnee Duplaix and Karla Mosley also among the principal cast. The drama builds its stories around relationships, status and the secrets concealed behind the community’s polished exterior.

Beyond the Gates premiered February 24, 2025, and is filmed in Atlanta. It airs on CBS on weekdays and is available through Paramount+ live and on demand. That production background makes the four awards an early milestone for a series still establishing its place among daytime’s long-running dramas.

Elsewhere in the acting categories, Scott Clifton won lead actor for his portrayal of Liam Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful. The Young and the Restless collected supporting-performance wins for Beth Maitland and Roger Howarth, while General Hospital took the drama-series award. The complete NATAS winners report documents those results across the ceremony’s categories.

The awards also extended beyond scripted soaps: The Kelly Clarkson Show won talk series, and Sherri Shepherd received the talk-host honor for Sherri. Glam Through the Ages, the KeyTV program with Keke Palmer among its executive producers, won in short-form programming. NATAS has made the full ceremony available through its official channel, providing the broader awards-night context for Beyond the Gates’ four wins.
