Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike arrives on Netflix November 3, putting Tyson onstage for a one-man show just weeks after the platform released its four-part documentary about his life.
Mike Tyson is returning to Netflix in a different format with Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike. The special is scheduled for November 3 in the platform’s latest weekly lineup. Rather than another boxing event or documentary installment, this release centers on a stage performance built around Tyson’s own stories.
The show was filmed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Netflix’s production synopsis describes a blend of personal reflection and comedy, including material about addiction and mental health. Those subjects sit within a one-man-show format in which Tyson addresses the audience directly, rather than being examined solely through interview footage.
Netflix has released an official sneak peek ahead of the premiere, available below. The clip belongs to Return of the Mike, not the separate documentary series. It provides an advance sample of the stage special while the full program remains scheduled for Tuesday’s release.
The separate TYSON documentary premiered October 13 and runs across four hour-long episodes. Directed by Floyd Russ, it combines Tyson’s reflections with contributions from people around him. Its account moves from his Brooklyn upbringing through his emergence as the youngest heavyweight champion and the controversies that followed his success.
In a Netflix interview about the documentary, Russ discussed working with Tyson at a point when the former champion could look back on his life at age 60. The series also includes perspectives from confidants and colleagues who know him outside his public identity as a fighter. That broader documentary approach differs from the direct performer-and-audience relationship of the new stage show.
The Return of the Mike title page lists Tyson as its performer and categorizes the special as comedy, with a TV-MA rating. It is its own release, not a fifth episode of TYSON. Viewers who have already watched October’s series will therefore find a separate program when the November 3 special arrives.
