Rex Orange County’s sixth album brings Daniel Caesar, Mustafa and Brendan Yates into a new chapter that stretches across continents.
Rex Orange County has released Dream Fatigue, his sixth studio album, on November 6. The 12-track record includes collaborations with Daniel Caesar, Mustafa and Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates.
The guest list reaches beyond those featured names. His official store also credits contributions from Dev Hynes, dexter in the newsagent and Jockstrap’s Taylor Skye, bringing different musical backgrounds into the project.
Apple Music’s album notes describe recording sessions across North America, Europe and Africa. That wider geography follows the expanded studio approach of 2024’s The Alexander Technique, rather than presenting this record as an isolated reset.
“Indecision,” featuring Daniel Caesar, comes with an official video and offers one way into the album. Elsewhere, Yates appears on “Elvis,” while Mustafa joins Rex on “The Colosseum.”
The track sequence places those collaborations among songs including “Penelope,” “Grandma Song” and “Empty Stage.” The title track closes the album, which Apple Music lists at 39 minutes.
The official physical tracklist divides the record into two six-song sides, with “Indecision” near the end of side two. Listeners can now hear the full sequence rather than judging the new era solely through its advance releases.
