An 18-track release revisits George Michael’s first solo tour, with a companion concert film following different regional cinema schedules.
George Michael’s The Faith Tour has arrived as an 18-track live album, released November 6. The collection draws on previously unreleased performances from his first solo concert tour.
The recordings revisit the 1988 shows at Paris-Bercy, placing material from Faith alongside songs from the Wham! catalogue. Sony Music’s announcement identifies “Father Figure,” “One More Try” and “Everything She Wants” among the selections.
The set also reaches beyond Michael’s own writing. Performances of Stevie Wonder’s “Love’s In Need Of Love Today” and Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” appear alongside his hits.
A companion concert film extends the release to cinemas, with the official trailer showing the performance-focused presentation. The film and album share a title, but their release calendars are not identical everywhere.
Universal Pictures lists November 6 for the UK cinema release. Sony’s North American announcement gives December 11 for that region, so viewers should use local listings rather than assume one worldwide theatrical date.
The live album was mixed by Chris Porter and David Austin and mastered by John Webber. It makes a specific concert-era document available now, while the film adds another way to revisit the tour on the big screen.
