Influencer Jack Doherty is facing a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after Fort Lauderdale police responded to a reported dispute at a South Florida residence.

Jack Doherty was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, September 4, after police responded to a domestic dispute in the city’s Riverside Park neighborhood. According to Complex, the 22-year-old YouTube personality was booked into the Broward County Main Jail following the incident.

Fort Lauderdale officers were called to the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court at approximately 11:56 a.m. Police said Doherty and an unidentified woman were involved in a physical dispute inside a residence, while authorities reported that the woman was not injured.

Doherty was taken into custody on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Local jail records cited by South Florida outlets showed that he was being held at the Broward Main Jail with no listed bond as of Friday evening.

Complex reported that sources close to Doherty claimed he acted in self-defense during the incident. That account is a claim from his side and does not change the fact that police arrested and charged him; details surrounding the alleged confrontation remain limited as the case moves forward.

The arrest marks Doherty’s second encounter with South Florida law enforcement in less than a year. Miami Beach police arrested him in November 2025 after officers said he was disrupting traffic while creating social media content, and he was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and resisting an officer without violence.

Miami-Dade court records later showed that Doherty entered a deferred prosecution program in connection with that earlier case. The creator has built a large online audience through prank videos, stunts and livestreams, but his public profile has also been accompanied by a string of controversies and high-profile incidents.
