Julia Krasinski is not interested in hiding behind a persona. She uses her real name because what you hear is exactly who she is. Honest, intense, and unfiltered. Her music is not built for comfort. It is built for truth.
Raised in Freeland, Michigan, Julia’s relationship with music started early. Some of her clearest memories go back to East Tawas, sitting in her cousin André’s room while heavy rock and metal filled the air. Watching him jam with friends, game late into the night, and live fully in his element left a lasting impression. Those moments planted the seed that music could be more than sound. It could be identity.
Her first real step into the spotlight came during a middle school talent show. Julia performed “In The End” by Black Veil Brides, and the feeling of being on stage changed everything. She knew then that music was not just something she enjoyed. It was something she needed. The response from classmates was not kind. She was labeled the weird girl who sang at the talent show. Instead of shrinking, Julia leaned into it. She owned it. That moment taught her that being different was not a weakness. It was her edge.
About a year and a half ago, Julia began creating her own music seriously. Coming out of an abusive relationship, she turned pain into fuel. Writing became a way to take control of her story instead of letting it define her. In May 2025, she released her debut single Bastard, a track that marked both an ending and a beginning. The song is not about bitterness. It is about survival. It carries an energy that draws a hard line between who she was and who she refuses to be again. Listeners immediately connected to its honesty and raw delivery, recognizing it as the sound of someone reclaiming their power.
Julia’s sound lives in the space between alternative, rock, and heavier influences. She continues to train her voice with the goal of pushing deeper into heavy metal territory. While she does not currently play instruments, she treats her voice as one. It is sharp, emotional, and fearless. Her inspirations range from Black Veil Brides and Lilith Czar to Chandler Leighton, Nessa Barrett, Huddy, MGK, YungBlud, jxdn, Leah Kate, and Caroline Carr. Rather than copy any one lane, Julia blends these influences into something distinctly her own.
The creation of Bastard stands as the most important moment of her career so far. It was her first release, her first statement, and proof that she could turn her darkest experiences into something meaningful. Julia understands that growth is messy. She is not chasing perfection. She is chasing authenticity.
