“Finally, I ask that you show more compassion and wisdom as we move forward in life,” Stella wrote. She urged people to use Dolly’s life as an example of tolerance and respect rather than focusing on clever comments, “fake AI garbage” or snarky posts online.

The message comes days after Stella shared an earlier tribute revealing the private ritual she and Dolly maintained for years. The sisters would have coffee together over the phone early every Tuesday morning, catching up and making plans before the rest of the world was awake, a tradition Stella said would never be the same.

In that earlier remembrance, Stella described Dolly as one of the most generous and thoughtful people she had ever known and said the star remained focused on helping others even near the end of her life. Dolly died Aug. 25 at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer, prompting tributes from fans, fellow artists and public figures around the world.
