Born in Memphis and also raised in Killeen, Texas, C-Wii Tha Trappa says music became his way out when he was trying to leave the streets behind. “Trying to leave the streets led me to music,” he says. “I’m really the next sound wave for hit makers. I’ve overcome a lot, and my story is inspiring because I refused to give up.”
A multifaceted creative, C-Wii is not only an artist, but also a producer and songwriter — a combination he believes sets him apart in a crowded industry. “My work ethic and my ability to make hit songs separate me,” he says. “I stay focused on my goals until they’re accomplished.”
His journey hasn’t been without hardship. Serving time in prison while trying to build a dream created serious challenges. “Going to prison and being a regular person while living your dream is expensive,” he explains. “But I kept going.”
C-Wii Tha Trappa is currently pushing two new singles — “Chop Chop Slide” and “Sauce On Em” — while preparing for the release of his upcoming tape, Str8TrapShit, a project designed to showcase his storytelling, trap energy, and signature Memphis grit.
“In a few years, I see myself becoming the biggest artist in the world — sooner than later,” he says.
