Victoria Monét has officially released “Juicy,” bringing a song she introduced onstage this summer to streaming services as her next taste of Frequency of Love.
Victoria Monét is continuing her Frequency of Love era with “Juicy,” a new single released September 10. The track follows “Let Me” and “Reach Out” as she builds toward her next studio album.
“Juicy” was already familiar to concertgoers before its official release. Monét debuted the song live at Stade de France in June and continued performing it during her run supporting Bruno Mars on the European leg of The Romantic Tour.
The rollout was deliberate. Responding to criticism about the single arriving on short notice, Monét said she had performed “Juicy” at more than 20 shows and had been teasing a longer snippet through a dedicated hotline for weeks.
The single now arrives as part of a larger album campaign. Pitchfork reported that “Juicy” joins “Reach Out” and “Let Me” among the songs released from Monét’s forthcoming Frequency of Love album.
Frequency of Love is due October 2, giving “Juicy” a prominent place in the final stretch before the album arrives. Monét has also announced a North American headlining tour in support of the project.
