Fuerza Regida finished the Billboard Latin Music Awards with eight honors, while Bad Bunny claimed seven, including Artist of the Year, at the October 22 ceremony.
Fuerza Regida led the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards with eight honors, putting Mexican music at the center of the winners’ list. Bad Bunny followed with seven awards, including Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year. The October 22 ceremony took place at Miami’s James L. Knight Center and aired on Telemundo and Peacock.
“Marlboro Rojo” accounted for half of Fuerza Regida’s total. The track won Hot Latin Song of the Year, Streaming Song of the Year, Global 200 Latin Song of the Year and Regional Mexican Song of the Year. The group also received the Billboard Vanguard Award, adding a career-focused distinction to its chart-based wins.
KAROL G, Peso Pluma and Romeo Santos each finished with four honors. KAROL G’s haul included the first Fan Favorite Artist award, introducing a direct public vote to the ceremony. Peso Pluma and Tito Double P shared Top Latin Album of the Year for DINASTÍA, while Romeo Santos and Prince Royce won for their collaboration “Lokita Por Mí” and the album Better Late Than Never.
The evening also recognized artists whose influence reaches beyond one chart cycle. Rosalía received the Billboard Hall of Fame Award from Juan Luis Guerra, alongside wins for LUX and her work as a Latin pop solo artist. Rubén Blades received the Billboard Icon Award, presented by Gilberto Santa Rosa, while Cristian Castro was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Performances connected those honors with different generations of Latin music. Víctor Manuelle and Elvis Crespo opened the broadcast with “La Gozadera en Navidad,” while Carlos Rivera, Yahritza y Su Esencia, Paola Jara, Jessi Uribe and Pablo Alborán took part in a Juan Gabriel tribute. The tribute marked ten years since his death and brought several voices to songs from his catalogue.
The awards’ chart-based categories measured performance from September 13, 2025, through September 5, 2026. Billboard and Luminate tracked audience activity across streaming, sales, radio and touring, with the new fan-voted category operating separately. That framework places the night’s headline totals in context: the trophies recognized sustained audience engagement across the eligibility period, alongside special honors for artistic impact and longevity.
