Chattanooga rapper and songwriter Kahary continues to expand the world of his latest album through soulful music, focused storytelling, and a growing collection of visuals.
Independent hip-hop artist Kahary is continuing the campaign behind his album Don’t Live Goalless 2, a release centered on ambition, self-belief, and purposeful living. The 14-track project arrived on November 21, 2025, through Don’t Live Goalless, LLC and runs for approximately 36 minutes. It builds on the message Kahary introduced with the original Don’t Live Goalless in 2020. This time, he develops that vision across a longer tracklist filled with personal and motivational themes.
Born Khary Ricks in 1993, Kahary is an independent artist and songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. His stage name is a creative variation of his first name, with “Ka” chosen because of its connection to the word “soul,” a quality he aims to place at the center of his music. His sound combines laid-back melodies with thoughtful lyricism and draws from jazz, hip-hop, and boom bap. Kahary cites André 3000, Nas, J Dilla, and Curtis Mayfield among the artists who have helped shape his musical perspective.
Don’t Live Goalless 2 includes songs such as “Some Days To Get Away,” “Down South,” “Dreams,” “Promise To Myself,” “Man of Honor,” “No Time For Second Guessing,” and “Mind And Hands.” Khary Ricks and Brian Kidd are listed among the album’s producers, reflecting Kahary’s involvement in shaping the project beyond his performance as an artist. The sequence also includes two skits, including “BiB (Mukasa Dada Speaks),” featuring Mukasa Dada.
