Riding the Relentless Current
Sister duo Lavendine invites listeners to dive into Deep Blue — an album that captures the depths of emotion, faith, and endurance. Produced by acclaimed mixer and producer Mark Needham, the record transcends genre boundaries, rising like a wave of spiritual reflection and emotional truth.
At its core, Deep Blue is more than just an album — it’s a metaphor for surrender and survival. It symbolizes those moments when life’s waters pull you under, only to carry you closer to peace and purpose. As the sisters describe it, “When you finally go into the deep blue, that’s when God is at the controls.”
A Sound Rooted in Authenticity
Instead of chasing trends, Lavendine delivers an album that feels both raw and healing — a body of work filled with life’s ups and downs, tied together by hope and perseverance. The duo’s harmonies are hauntingly pure, rising and intertwining in a way only lifelong partners in song can achieve.
“At the heart of the song are the sisters’ vocals that are wonderfully crisp, silky, and effortlessly emotive,” wrote We Write About Music.
“Over the years, they’ve scored Billboard chart placements, worked alongside legendary producers, and forged a reputation for defying expectations,” added A&R Factory.
The Heart of Deep Blue
The title track, “Deep Blue,” was born from grief and rebirth. It’s a song about being carried by the same waves that once threatened to drown you — an honest reflection of surrender and divine rescue.
“The message and cadence will pull you along, just like when trials seem to suck you out to the deep,” shares Jacy. “That’s when the current carries you to your moment of deliverance.”
The record’s tone is dark yet hopeful, ethereal yet grounded. Each track unveils another layer of the sisters’ personal and spiritual evolution.

The Story Behind the Sisters
Born in Liberal, Kansas, and raised in Oklahoma, Jacy and Jana Ayers began performing in church as children. Their journey to Nashville was filled with challenges, including serious health battles — Jana’s tumor near her brainstem and Jacy’s multiple surgeries — yet their faith and determination never faltered.
Their persistence paid off. With guidance from producer Danny Duncan and collaborations with Ed Seay and Mark Needham, Lavendine crafted their most defining work yet.
From their breakout singles “Rapture,” “Here to You,” and “Finding My Way Home,” to the spiritual depth of Deep Blue, the duo continues to prove that perseverance and passion can turn pain into purpose.
