DETROIT, MICHIGAN — Artist Rees RP, born Maurice Bingham, is preparing to close a monumental chapter in his career with the upcoming release of Honored, the final installment in his powerful trilogy following Honor and Honorable. Scheduled for release on January 29, 2026, the 29-track project promises to deliver Rees RP’s signature mix of depth, passion, and authenticity—cementing his place as one of Detroit’s most impactful independent voices.
“The snowball effect brought me to music in a serious fashion,” said Rees RP. “I’ve lost multiple family members who were extremely passionate about music, and I inherited that passion. Now my mission is to be the best because I’m living for the rest. In honor, I strive to be honorable—and when I rest, I pray I’m honored.”
That message of legacy and perseverance drives everything he creates. From Detroit to Las Vegas, Rees RP has built his reputation through relentless dedication and self-made success. His debut album Honor gained heavy press traction, earning coverage in The Source, Hip Hop Weekly, AllHipHop, ThisIs50, and OnThaRize.
Following his success under the Jewels of Detroit label, Rees RP made a bold move west to Las Vegas, where he founded his own imprint, RPMG (RP Music Group). His catalog now includes multiple 29-track albums—each filled with what fans describe as “all quality music.”
While the accolades continue to grow, Rees RP’s journey has not been without struggle. “Writer’s block was a huge problem when I started putting more of my current emotions into the music instead of focusing on the past,” he shared. “And balancing fatherhood with three kids, finances, and constant moves between states—it’s been tough. But I always find a way. My fans always return.”
His upcoming single, set to precede Honored, will appear on the forthcoming EP Elements—offering a glimpse into the next phase of his artistry. Rees RP says Honored will not only complete his trilogy but represent his evolution as both a man and an artist.
“I don’t plan on being small in any aspect,” he said. “My goals, visions, thoughts, and reality all point to being a force in the music realm. We as a team will rise independently and eventually trump all major labels—bringing back a more natural energy into this industry.”
Honored is slated to feature 29 new tracks, with major collaborations to be announced closer to release. Fans can expect a combination of introspection, energy, and lyrical precision that continues the spirit of his previous work while setting the stage for a new era.
