Q: You’ve been building your name steadily over the past few years. How did your journey in music begin?
Tallant Don: I actually started making music when I was about 12 or 13 years old. I didn’t have a studio — just an old keyboard and a tape recorder. I’d make beats, write my own lyrics, and record whatever I could. The first song I ever made was called “All Day Long.” Funny enough, that’s the same title as my new single dropping soon. It’s like everything’s come full circle.
Q: That’s a great story. What inspired you to keep creating all these years?
Tallant Don: My biggest inspirations come from my family, my faith, and just real-life experiences. I’ve always seen music as a way to tell my story and connect with people who might be going through the same things. It’s therapy for me — but it’s also motivation to keep growing.
Q: You’ve mentioned a lot of variety in your influences. Who helped shape your sound?
Tallant Don: I’ve always had a really mixed taste in music. I grew up on Tupac and DMX, but I also loved Linkin Park and Pink Floyd. That mix helped me find my own lane — emotional, real, and still hip-hop at its core. My sound blends rap and melody, but it’s always honest.
Q: You’ve also worked with a few artists along the way. How important is collaboration to you?
Tallant Don: Super important. I love working with artists who bring their own energy. I’ve done songs like “WAY OUT” with Dave Mac and “JUST WANT TO” featuring Lady Sakti from Argentina — she’s amazing. And now, teaming up with Jake Strain on “All Day Long” feels like the next big step. He’s got that same independent drive I respect.
Q: You’ve built a fanbase that stretches across several continents. What does that support mean to you?
Tallant Don: It’s humbling, honestly. I’ve got listeners in Canada, the U.S., Australia, Europe, Brazil, Africa, Argentina — it’s crazy to think how far my music has traveled. A lot of my supporters are women too, which I think says something about the emotion and relatability in my music. I don’t take any of it for granted.
Q: Your new single “All Day Long” seems to carry a special meaning. Can you tell us more about it?
Tallant Don: Definitely. Like I said, it’s the title of the first song I ever made. But this new version represents where I am now — more polished, more confident, and more focused. Having Jake Strain on it just elevates the whole vibe. It’s about consistency, hustling, and staying locked in on your dreams all day long.
Q: Where do you see yourself heading next?
Tallant Don: I’ve got an EP coming soon that really shows my growth. I handle most of my production, but I’m open to collaborating with more artists and producers who align with my sound. In five years, I see myself touring — maybe performing in Montreal, New York, or even overseas. I just want to keep building and making music that speaks to people.
Q: Any final words for your fans before the new single drops?
Tallant Don: Yeah — thank you to everyone who’s been rocking with me from day one. This next chapter is personal, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. “All Day Long” drops soon — go pre-save it and be part of the journey.
