Omar Njai, known professionally as Omar The One, is an artist who refuses to be confined by genre. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, he has built a music career that blends honesty, versatility, and independence, creating a sound that is uniquely his own.

Music has been part of Omar’s life since childhood. What drew him into pursuing it seriously was the desire to say something different. “I’ve always wanted my music to make people feel something,” he says. “From the beats to the lyrics, I aim to be authentic in every way.”

Omar’s style is fluid. He moves effortlessly between R&B, pop, acoustic, EDM, and more, embracing whatever sound fits the story he wants to tell. “I like having the freedom to explore different genres,” he says. “It keeps my music fresh and genuine.”

Balancing a full-time job while building his music career hasn’t been easy. Long hours and intense schedules tested his commitment, but Omar found a way to make it work. “Some days I worked over 12 hours, even seven days in a row,” he recalls. “I had to create a schedule that let me focus on music while staying consistent with my work.”

Independence is central to Omar’s career. He releases music on his own terms, owns his publishing, and manages his catalog with long-term goals in mind. “Owning my music is about building something lasting,” he explains. “It gives me control and opens doors for the future.”

His latest single, Take A Breath, showcases his production and songwriting skills. The upbeat EDM track is designed to uplift and energize listeners. “It’s a song that makes you feel good every time you hear it,” Omar says.

Even without financial reward, Omar says he would continue making music. “Creating music is what I love. That hasn’t changed since it started as a hobby,” he adds.
