AirXone, the country’s first fully digital music label services collective now evolving into an aggregator, has officially announced plans to broaden its reach by opening doors to more artists, labels, and songwriters both locally and internationally.

In an exclusive conversation last week, AirXone founder and Head of Operations, Chamupa Chenuka, revealed the collective’s new initiative aimed at supporting a wider range of talent. “We are planning to expand our memberships to empower more creatives while continuing to build a secure and properly administered digital music landscape in Sri Lanka,” said Chamupa.

Sri Lanka, a nation renowned for its rich cultural heritage and artistic talent, has historically faced challenges in digital music infrastructure. However, the COVID-19 pandemic catalyzed the country’s digital growth, creating new opportunities for independent artists. AirXone emerged as a pioneering collective, offering vital services in music publishing, copyright administration, and distribution—while ensuring artists retain complete ownership and creative control of their work.

Founded in 2019 by Chamupa Chenuka, AirXone has grown into a respected collective of music industry professionals and associates. It currently represents some of Sri Lanka’s most prominent labels, including Desawana Music, CrowMafia, Voizy Music, and Rubber Stamp Studios. Its roster features hundreds of artists and songwriters, ranging from emerging talents to industry legends such as Thilina Ruhunage, Radeesh Vandebona, Costa Maarley, The Gypsies, Nalaka Anjana Kumara, and Azim Ousman.
