The Creamfields Spark
For CATHDOG, it all began at his first ever Creamfields—the legendary UK dance music festival. That weekend didn’t just inspire him; it changed his life. “I fell in love with it all,” he says. “The energy, the atmosphere, the connection DJs had with the crowd—I wanted to do what they did.”
One artist in particular left a lasting impression: Timmy Trumpet. Not just for his sound, but for how much of himself he poured into his performances. “He really gets his personality to shine through,” CATHDOG adds. “That’s what I aim to do every time I play.”
Making Noise with a Humble Start
Starting out as a DJ and producer in a quiet, rural area wasn’t easy. “Every bar and club already had their go-to DJ,” he explains. “So I figured if I couldn’t get noticed that way, I’d make music instead—something people had to hear.”
With just over a year under his belt, CATHDOG’s already made waves. In 2024 alone, he racked up 15,000 streams across 97 countries—a stat that still surprises him. “For someone from a little town like mine, that kind of reach means the world.”
He’s also started breaking into the local festival circuit, performing for crowds of hundreds—including friends and family. “Playing live in front of people I care about was a proud moment. It reminded me why I started.”
Not Chasing Fame—Just Growth
Unlike some artists chasing viral fame, CATHDOG’s approach is refreshingly grounded. “I’m not trying to be the next big thing,” he says. “I’m just a lad from Wales, trying to be the best version of myself every day.”

“I just want people to know I’m here,” he says. “I know I’ve got something worth listening to—I just need the opportunity to show it.”
