Gracie Abrams Turns Her Halloween SNL Set Into a Romeo + Juliet Tribute

Gracie Abrams used two performances on Saturday Night Live to move between the title characters of Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 romance.

Gracie Abrams returned to Saturday Night Live on October 31 with a Halloween concept that connected her two-song set. The singer performed “Hit the Wall” and “Here You Come, There You Go” during the episode hosted by Obsession actor Inde Navarrette.

Rather than repeating one costume throughout the night, Abrams drew on both sides of Romeo + Juliet. For “Hit the Wall,” she wore angel wings recalling Claire Danes’ Juliet, then shifted to a look inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Romeo for the second performance.

The staging also referenced the film’s memorable fish-tank encounter, giving the pair of appearances a shared visual language. It was a specific cinematic tribute suited to the Halloween broadcast, rather than two unrelated seasonal outfits.

“Here You Come, There You Go” received its live debut on the show, according to Stereogum’s recap. The song’s placement beside “Hit the Wall” joined a fresh release to material already associated with Daughter from Hell, putting the album’s next phase directly in front of the late-night audience.

As Universal Music Japan confirms, this was Abrams’ second musical-guest appearance, following her December 2024 visit. Her team also shared a rehearsal performance of the new song before the broadcast, offering another version of the track alongside the television staging.

The expanded Daughter from Hell arrives November 20 with five additional songs, including “Here You Come, There You Go.” Following the deluxe-edition announcement, the SNL return supplied a distinct performance moment for the new material while keeping the original album in view.
