After exploring country on his previous album, BigXthaPlug puts a broad rap and R&B cast at the heart of his new release.

BigXthaPlug’s BETTER OVER TIME is out today, October 30, marking the arrival of his fourth studio album. The Dallas artist has built the release around 18 songs, with a complete running time of approximately 42 minutes.

The cover offers a useful way into the album’s premise before the music even begins: several versions of his face sit together in a single composition. Drawing on the imagery of his earlier records, it presents growth as an accumulation of experiences rather than a reason to erase what came before.

The guest list reaches across several parts of his musical world. Leon Thomas appears near the beginning on “NO LIMIT,” Ava Max joins “BURN,” and GloRilla turns up later on “FAF,” giving listeners different collaboration points as the sequence develops.

“LITE,” featuring Belly Gang Kushington, remains one of the album’s established introductions. The wider rollout also included an announcement reel in which BigXthaPlug connected the album title to his life and the people around him, giving the project a personal frame beyond its guest list.

There was also a physical gathering around the release: a Dallas theater screening combined an early album listen with a short film, followed by a surprise performance outside. As AllHipHop reported from the event, the hometown audience became part of a launch that extended beyond a conventional listening session.

Alongside streaming, the album’s rollout included a direct-to-fan music hub built with EVEN, bringing music and artist content into one destination. Those different entry points now lead to the same full-length release, a return to hip-hop after I Hope You’re Happy that keeps BigXthaPlug’s growing catalog in conversation with itself.
