JoJo’s new Seeker Music partnership pairs an expanded High Road release with a November unplugged tour.
JoJo is revisiting her first two albums with a new catalog partner and fresh ways to hear the music. Seeker Music has acquired the original and 2018 rerecorded versions of JoJo and The High Road, with the partnership launching around the second album’s 20th anniversary.
The first release is already available. The High Road’s expanded anniversary edition arrived October 23 with the original album, four bonus tracks from its original era and a new Spanish-language acoustic performance of “Too Little Too Late,” titled “Acepto La Realidad (Versión Acústica).”
In the partnership announcement, JoJo described the decision as a personal one involving music that remains important to her. Seeker’s plans also distinguish the 2018 rerecordings as Clover Room Editions, keeping those interpretations identifiable alongside the original recordings.
The anniversary extends beyond streaming. Physical editions include a Glassy Ice vinyl pressing, while the expanded release gives longtime listeners a combination of familiar album material and a newly recorded interpretation rather than simply returning the original sequence to circulation.
A seven-date unplugged U.S. tour begins November 13 at Royale in Boston. The route continues through Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Nashville and Atlanta before closing November 24 at Park West in Chicago, placing the anniversary songs in a live setting later this fall.
Seeker has also outlined archival music and visual releases, plus a future collaboration built around JoJo’s music with an electronic act that has not been named. For now, the available anniversary edition and announced November shows are the concrete next steps, with further projects still to be detailed.
