Feb. 25, 2026 — Recording artist Mike Rari has released his latest single, “Love Language,” a deeply personal R&B record that signals a new level of vulnerability and emotional clarity in his evolving sound.
Known for channeling lived experience into his songwriting, Rari described the creation of “Love Language” as unexpectedly transformative.
“I definitely felt very connected throughout the entire creation of this song,” Rari said. “This was my first time really slowing everything down and shifting into a different space sonically with R&B. The realization that things were piecing together seamlessly throughout the session was reassuring. Everything was in tune.”
Unlike previous releases that often reflected on the fallout of love, “Love Language” centers on devotion at its highest form. The track was written with one specific person in mind — a creative risk the artist previously avoided.
“I’ve always worried about completely writing a song based on someone because you never know what the future holds,” he said. “But the memories that inspired this writing are significant. They have pieces of me laced in them that need to be shared regardless of what tomorrow brings.”
The emotional pivot represents a broader evolution in his relationship with control and creativity.
“My entire career has been learning how to let go,” Rari said. “This song is me being confident in the element of losing control. I’m no longer searching for what it’s supposed to look or feel like. I just live in it.”
He recalls a defining moment in the studio — a second of silence before recording — that signaled the record’s significance.
“It was the longest second of my life,” he said. “There was a freeing presence about it. That’s when I knew this song was going to be unlike anything I’ve ever worked on.”
Rari describes the record’s emotional palette as “purples and reds,” symbolizing passion and depth. If translated into scent, he says it would be “amber, vanilla and rose petals.”
At its core, “Love Language” is about intentionality — in lyric, tone and performance.
“I performed it as if I was having a conversation with the person I wrote it about,” he said. “Every word, every note, every melody is intentional.”
The artist hopes listeners experience the record in layers: first for lyricism, then instrumentation, and finally as a cohesive emotional world.
“When you’re listening, you truly get to know me,” he said. “This is therapy. These are my experiences. There isn’t a piece of me that’s held back.”
“Love Language” is available now on streaming platforms.
