Omega Rift is a hip hop artist from Virginia Beach Virginia who has been building his sound since 2014. His love for rap started with freestyling and learning how to ride almost any beat. From early on he knew how to find a flow and stay locked in no matter the instrumental. That natural feel for rhythm is still at the core of his music today.
He makes hip hop and rap music that leans into feeling and honesty. Even though he does not play instruments his voice carries the weight. His timing tone and word choice do the work. Artists like Earl Sweatshirt MF DOOM Billy Woods Lucki and King Krule played a big role in shaping how he thinks about music. They inspired him to focus on mood depth and saying something real instead of chasing trends.
Omega Rift has spent years in the underground scene performing at every chance he gets. Live shows matter a lot to him. He treats each one like it could be his last always aiming to give his best performance possible. His most recent album WAKING KNIGHT was made with his favorite producer G A Z E from the Netherlands. Working across distance did not slow them down. Some moments stand out as proof of how far music can really go. At nineteen Omega Rift performed at a paid show in Canada while traveling with the band SXFXG. That experience made everything feel real and showed him that music could open doors beyond his hometown. Another important memory was his early studio sessions in Columbus Ohio. Being in a professional recording environment for the first time surrounded by real equipment and industry level sound made the process feel official and unforgettable.
Now Omega Rift is focused on what comes next. He is currently working on a new album with G A Z E called GORGEOUS FATE with more details coming soon. He also has a new single on the way titled Hyeina produced by Crash Notes and Alecdariius.
