Boyz II Men have signed with Warner Records Nashville as they prepare a country project for 2027.
Boyz II Men are giving their interest in country music a full-length next chapter. The Philadelphia vocal group announced its Warner Records Nashville signing on October 26, with new music planned for 2027 and a partnership that puts its signature harmonies inside a different label community.
The trio of Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman confirmed the move in an official label announcement. Warner Records Nashville chair and president Cris Lacy pointed to the members’ longstanding appreciation of country music, including Randy Travis, as part of the foundation for the collaboration.
The connection has already been visible onstage. The group appeared at the Grand Ole Opry in 2018 and joined Cody Johnson at Stagecoach this year, giving country audiences opportunities to hear those voices outside the settings most associated with their R&B catalog.
There is also a recent recording to put alongside those performances: “I Love The One,” with Lady A, arrived in September. The collaboration is part of a forthcoming music project inspired by The Chosen, and offers a more immediate point of reference while listeners wait for the next release.
The members have described the country move as participation rather than a wholesale reinvention. In discussing the project, they have highlighted storytelling and influences including Travis Tritt, Vince Gill and The Chicks, suggesting that the attraction extends beyond the opportunity to enter another market.
The announcement arrives more than three decades after their 1991 debut, Cooleyhighharmony. With 2027 as the announced release window, the next chapter places an established vocal identity alongside country collaborators; a final title, track list and specific release date were not part of the label’s announcement.
