Jordyn Woods is pulling back the curtain on the painstaking fittings behind the custom bridal looks she wore for her Malibu wedding to Karl-Anthony Towns.
Jordyn Woods gave fans an inside look at her final wedding dress fitting with designer Danielle Frankel, showing how several custom looks came together ahead of her marriage to Karl-Anthony Towns. The fitting, documented by Vogue, took place at Frankel’s Los Angeles studio before the couple’s August 15 ceremony in Malibu.
Woods explained that the timeline was unusually tight because the couple decided to marry during Towns’ summer break from basketball. After meeting with several bridal designers, she said Frankel’s use of Italian silk immediately stood out, eventually leading to a custom strapless silk-wool ball gown with a draped bodice, full skirt and hand-cut lace appliqués.
The footage captures Woods trying on the ceremony gown alongside her mother, Elizabeth Woods, and younger sister, Jodie Woods, while Frankel and her team make final adjustments. Three different shades of ivory lace were incorporated into the look, with the detailing positioned by hand to follow the draping through the neckline and waist.
Woods also tried on a second custom gown built from layered Chantilly and elderflower lace, featuring an asymmetric drape, high slit and corseted structure. Frankel said the design developed organically during an earlier fitting, when pinning one side of the dress created a silhouette they decided to keep.
For another wedding-weekend look, Woods stepped into a silk satin slip dress finished with an asymmetric scarf detail that extended into a train at the back. The three pieces gave her distinct options for the ceremony and surrounding celebrations while maintaining the cohesive aesthetic she and Frankel developed throughout the fitting process.
By the end of the session, Woods said seeing the dresses completed helped settle some of her nerves ahead of the wedding. She and Karl-Anthony Towns, who began dating in 2020 and became engaged in late 2025, married in Malibu on August 15 surrounded by family and friends.
