Ask most people about their journey, and you’ll get a neat, rehearsed story. Angello Collins has a different approach — one that’s still unfolding, right where you can see it.
Raised in Columbus, OH, Angello learned early on that golf was more than a game. It was a way to grow, test yourself, and find community. Now living in Jacksonville, FL, he’s channeling that experience into something bigger: a golf school unlike anything the city’s seen before.
“I grew up playing golf as a teenager, and spent time around plenty of golf programs and schools,” Angello says. “But one thing was always missing: mental coaching and fitness training. There’s a lot more to golf than just hitting the ball well.”
That gap became his mission. Together with a business partner, Angello is building a new kind of golf school in Jacksonville — one where technical skills are just the beginning. “We want to provide world class coaching at every level. That means technical coaching, mental coaching, and athletic training,” he says. “If we do it right, we can help every type of player, from someone who’s just starting to a seasoned pro.”
But Angello’s ambitions don’t stop at the driving range. He’s also launching a faith-based clothing brand, Go Into The World Co., blending his love for sport with his passion for making a positive impact. “The goal with all of this is to grow the game of golf,” he explains. “Golf is growing, and we need training and opportunities for everyone.”
So what’s next? For Angello, it’s all about growth — steady, purposeful, and rooted in his vision. “In the next three, six, twelve months, we’re looking to keep building. Within a year, I’d love for us to have a facility partner that checks every box for the kind of golf school we want to run.”
