Lorena Placeres experiences Hulu’s Exclusive “Chad Powers” Screening Event

Hulu‘s highly anticipated sports comedy series “Chad Powers” is set to officially premiere on September 30, but the excitement already began earlier this month when Lorena Placeres, a talented artist from the Canary Islands, Spain, attended a special screening of the first episode, “First Quarter”, on Monday, September 22, at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Los Angeles.

This exclusive event gave select guests a sneak peek into the world of Russ Holliday, a disgraced former college football player who reinvents himself as the affable Chad Powers. With the series’ official release just around the corner, fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to follow Chad’s journey on Hulu.

Guests also enjoyed a Q&A with Glen Powell and some members of the cast, followed by a reception. For Lorena, it was a chance to celebrate storytelling, meet fellow artists, and continue building her presence in Hollywood.

With a string of upcoming roles in comedic projects, Lorena Placeres is solidifying her presence in the world of comedy. Her recent work includes a stage musical adaptation of “Día de los Muertos”, a vibrant representation of Mexican tradition infused with comedic elements. This follows her critically acclaimed performances in thriller and horror films like “Cheater”, which earned the Best Horror Film Award at the Pageant Film Festival, and “Hot Garbage”, a thriller with hints of comedy where she brought a darker edge to her portrayal of a seemingly innocent character. These roles showcased her range and depth, making her presence at Hulu’s “Chad Powers” screening especially fitting, as both her career and the series reflect themes of reinvention and perseverance.

Building a Global Profile

Lorena Placeres’ appearance at Hulu’s “Chad Powers” screening highlights her growing international profile, following a recent special guest invitation to the Broadway International Film Festival, where she earned praise from founder Emilio Vega as the representation of the next generation of global performers due to her multilingual versatility and artistic range. From HBO Max Emmy celebrations to international festivals, Lorena’s consistent presence underscores her rising influence in entertainment, with notable performances on stage like in “Los sueños de otros” and “Día de los Muertos”.

Through her acclaimed performances and presence at high-profile events, her appearance at this exclusive screening underscored her rising influence, making clear that her talent, heritage, and artistry are impossible to ignore in Hollywood.
