Riverhead, New York – September 13, 2024 – Hip-hop artist Amagiri Young is set to release his highly anticipated EP, Coldest Summer, on September 20, 2024. The 8-track EP showcases Amagiri Young’s signature blend of lyrical depth and powerful production, featuring collaborations with heavyweights like Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Gucci Mane.
Coldest Summer offers a raw and authentic portrayal of the struggles faced in poverty-stricken neighborhoods, especially through the title track, “Cold Summer.” Amagiri continues his narrative with “Smoke and Link,” a marijuana anthem that tells the laid-back story of smoking and linking up with a beautiful woman. He experiments with sound on the hip-hop and R&B-infused “Places and Things,” while “The Policy” featuring Juelz Santana takes a hard look at New York City’s law, principles, and underworld realities.
Fans will also appreciate tracks like “Askari” featuring Jim Jones, a gritty rap song about the soldier’s mindset needed to survive urban environments, and “Iceland (Of Course)” featuring Gucci Mane, a trap anthem mixing New York lyrical elements with Gucci Mane’s iconic southern sound. The EP closes out with “Everything,” a love song that speaks to a man’s willingness to provide for his partner, and “Touch Me” featuring Tamia P, an R&B collaboration laced with lyrical poetry and sensual vocals.
