U2 will perform at halftime of the Packers-Rams game on November 25, bringing the band’s anniversary year to a worldwide streaming audience.
U2’s Thanksgiving Eve halftime show will put the band on a new NFL stage as it marks 50 years since forming in Dublin. Netflix announced the performance for November 25, 2026, during the Green Bay Packers’ meeting with the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The broadcast begins at 6 p.m. Eastern, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern, or 5 p.m. Pacific. Netflix says the game will be available on all its subscription plans, making the musical appearance part of the streamer’s first Thanksgiving Eve NFL presentation.
The announcement returns U2 to a football setting with a substantial place in its live history. The band performed at Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002, delivering a halftime set remembered for its tribute to the victims of September 11.
This new appearance arrives in a different format: a regular-season matchup streamed globally rather than the Super Bowl itself. Netflix’s announcement places the show within U2’s 50th-anniversary year, while the band’s own statement also promises special guests without naming them.
U2 follows two major artists in Netflix’s recent football music programming. Beyoncé performed during the service’s Christmas Gameday broadcast in 2024, and Snoop Dogg followed in 2025, establishing halftime as a prominent part of the holiday coverage.
For Southern California viewers, the Rams also confirm that the game will air locally on NBC4. The musical set’s song selection and guest lineup remain unannounced, leaving those details open as November’s broadcast approaches.
