Techno artist SWEEPR is back with a new track entitled “Overtime” ahead of his upcoming debut EP, “Night Shift”. The track will immediately get the listener moving with a blasting synth line and off-beat stabs that will have you reaching for the volume control and dialling it up to eleven. The electrifying bass sound comes perfectly intertwined with a pounding kick drum that will be sure to knock you out of your seat and on to the dance floor, ready to let go. Over the course of the track, the energy only increases leading to a cinema-worthy drop that is followed by a final section that ties all the elements together with an exhilarating finish.
When speaking on the new release, he said, “Overtime was actually the first track I had an idea for when thinking about the Night Shift EP. Night Shift and Overtime are inspired from “working overtime” or staying up late through the night. It’s a mixture of work culture but also rave culture, and figuring out how to balance the two. A large group of our friends were all born in Oct/Nov and we were in Las Vegas together. A few of us were still up around 7am, and that’s when I had the idea to write the Night Shift EP. Overtime was the first track I started writing lyrics for, but as I said, it took on a brand new path since that day.”
After falling in love with Ian Vahn Dahl’s, “Castles In The Sky ”, SWEEPR went on to be inspired to make music that breaks genre rules. Blending European techno and moving melodies, his heart is set on capturing the dance floor and the audience residing on it. His expansive music influences have seen him bring a polished and dynamic style to the dance music scene.
His forthcoming EP “Night Shift” promises to be equally as infectious, and promises to get the crowd moving and break free from the deadlines of day-to-day life. In the future, we can only expect more music from SWEEPR and we’re very much looking forward to it.
