The band’s third album arrives in February, introduced by connected videos for Blue Hour and Was It Ever Enough?

One Step Closer has announced Zero, its third album, with two new songs that arrive as connected pieces. “Blue Hour” and “Was It Ever Enough?” introduce the record ahead of its February 19, 2027, release through Run For Cover Records.

The band directed both accompanying videos, organizing their relationship around the passage from night into day. “Blue Hour” begins at dusk, while “Was It Ever Enough?” picks up in daylight in the group’s hometown of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

That shared setting links the new material to the community around the band. The label’s announcement describes performances and skate-ramp scenes across the visuals, placing the songs in the same environment rather than presenting two unrelated clips.

Jon Markson recorded the ten-track album, continuing his work with the group. Its guest appearances include Pat Flynn on “About a Boy” and Isaac Hale on “A Fleeting Face,” bringing two additional voices into the record’s wider hardcore circle.

Zero follows 2024’s All You Embrace, which expanded the band’s use of melody. Discussing the new record, vocalist Ryan Savitski connects its writing to a difficult period and to the pressure of taking in a constant stream of troubling news.

The album’s confirmed sequence opens with “Numb With Sleep” and closes with “For Them,” with the two new singles appearing in its middle stretch. Preorders are open, while the paired release offers the first view of how the band is joining the songs and their visual world.
