San Diego-based hip-hop collective KOAT Records is making noise with the release of their debut mixtape, King of All Trades—now available on all major streaming platforms—and the brand new music video for the sinister underground anthem “Psycho” featuring Kung Fu Vampire, now live on YouTube.
The hard-hitting visual for “Psycho” delivers a cinematic gut punch, pairing menacing verses with eerie imagery that captures the raw, unfiltered intensity KOAT has become known for. Underground legend Kung Fu Vampire brings his unmistakable style to the track, taking the energy into darker, more theatrical territory—anchored by KOAT’s razor-sharp lyricism and gritty production.
The King of All Trades mixtape is a THC-laced sonic ride through the underbelly of West Coast hip-hop. With its blend of boom-bap grit, weeded-out vibes, and old-school soul, the project sets KOAT apart as a crew not afraid to blur lines or break molds. The mixtape also features a guest spot from Suburban Noize Records’ rapid-fire mic assassin Stacc Styles on the adrenaline-charged “We Ride.”
KOAT Records—short for Kings of All Trades—was founded in 2023 by Oib1, Gideon Moore, and Profit Stopit in San Diego, CA. What started as a DIY hustle among friends has grown into one of the West Coast’s most fearless independent labels. Known for their raw authenticity and tireless work ethic, KOAT blends hip-hop tradition with genre-bending vision, emerging as a creative force both on stage and in the studio.
Beyond the booth, KOAT Records is deeply woven into the San Diego hip-hop scene—curating local events and giving emerging artists real platforms to shine. Their mission is simple: bring real hip-hop back. No gimmicks. No filters. Just bars, beats, and community.
