Meet New Jersey’s Baije, a singer who has recently made her mark in the music industry. Originally from Trenton, NJ; Baije moved to the east side of Atlanta while still young. It wouldn’t take long before Baije became passionate about music; both of her parents and other members of her family were already musically active. While still young, Baije participated in plays, skits and church activities.
During her high school years, Baije became active in the choir; she even rode home with her music teacher daily for piano lessons. According to Baije, “I’ve always had the gift but just never knew what to do with it.” At only 20 years old, Baije has already become a top contender in the r&b/hip hop world!
According to Baije, “some of my musical inspirations include Sza, Summer Walker, Jazmine Sullivan and Aaliyah.” After hearing Baije, it’s evident that her music has many similarities to her inspirations. In 2020, after experiencing her first heartbreak, Baije wrote her first song titled “Toxic Love”. She is currently promoting her single “Things We Had”, this song captures Baije’s soothing voice and lyrics that are obviously true to her as both an artist and individual.
