Keeping up his creatively colourful 2025, Cris Cap is back as he releases his latest EP ‘Bring It Back’. Being championed by the likes of Music Crowns, Earmilk and Mystic Sons, the German-born creative looks set to highlight his second multi-track project of the year.a
Featuring three singles, ‘Bring It Back’ is a heartfelt, fun-filled project that celebrates youth, energy and finesse, a retrospective look on the passion that comes with finding the joy of music. Built around the titular lead single, the project additionally features the previously released fan-favourites ‘She’s a Mystery’ and ‘Young Gun’. Pushing forward with a steady backbeat and a dynamic, power-pop attitude, ‘Bring It Back’ sees Cap offer a soulful take on modern pop, complete with his Rhodes-drawn melodies and sing-along choruses.
“This song is a love letter to my teenage years, the time when we had no money, but endless passion for music. Every basement rehearsal, every gig, every note was about feeling alive. Hudson’s voice brought exactly the emotion I was hearing in my head, ‘Bring It Back’ is about reclaiming that rock’n’roll dream, when time stood still.”
He adds, “I remember those rehearsals, loud amps, broken cables, the smell of pizza and sweat. But it was pure joy, that’s what I wanted to bring back with this track, that feeling of freedom and friendship that only music can create.”
Cris Cap is an intrinsic singer-songwriter who hails from Germany. Inspired by pop, soul and classical music, he started his musical journey at age seven as part of a choir in his small town. Growing up, he fell in love with 70s rock groups, the likes of Steely Dan and Toto. A purchase of a Fender Rhodes Mk1 in 1985 set his creative spirit alight, inspiring him to hone his musical and technical skills before building a career as a TV director. Drawing on deeply personal themes within his lyricism, Cap’s writing often comes with tales of love, self-discovery and the beauty of youth. Gearing up to release his debut album in 2026, Cris looks to keep pushing the boundaries of contemporary music-making whilst never forgetting to tip his hat to the past, for a hint of nostalgia.
