The album announcement follows his recently released single, a highly revered love ballad, “When It Comes To You,” and “Don’t Give It Away” feat. Chris Brown, which was unveiled earlier this year.
Yesterday, August 7th Fridayy shared a heartfelt note on Instagram announcing the project cover art and release date by stating, “This a special body of work. I put my heart & soul into it. This past year has been the fastest year of my life, All the Success. All the Wins That came w [with] Losses. All The Joy That came w [with] pain. I put it all into this music. This Music is For the real, ppl [people] going through pain and struggles everyday in life. I wanna be da [the] inspiration. I know my music is bigger than me. This is my gift to my fans the ppl [people] that support me & the World. This is a LIFE ALBUM. & I can’t wait for you all to hear.”
Since its initial release, “When It Comes To You” has amassed critical press acclaim from Billboard as a “must-hear” song of the week and UPROXX as one of the “best R&B songs of the week” as well as highlights from Rated R&B, ThisisRnB, Hot New Hip Hop and more.
