Anderson .Paak and Cordae have released Heavy Is the Crown, an eleven-song joint album that expands a collaboration previously heard across a string of singles.
Anderson .Paak and Cordae’s Heavy Is the Crown arrived October 23 through APESHIT + EMPIRE and Hi Level + Mass Appeal. Apple Music lists eleven tracks and a thirty-one-minute running time, giving the pair a compact shared album rather than another isolated collaboration.
The partnership has a history. The two first connected on “RNP,” from Cordae’s 2019 debut The Lost Boy, before reuniting on “Two Tens” in 2023 and “Summer Drop” in 2024. As NME documented when the album was announced, the new project turns those earlier meetings into their first collaborative full-length.
“A Good Day” provided an advance introduction in September. Its official video was directed by Dave Meyers, with production credited to SHOTCLOCK. The artists’ upload identifies the same label partnership attached to the album, linking the single directly to this release rather than a separate campaign.
The visual identity also leans into their pairing. The album artwork references the poster for the 2008 comedy Step Brothers. That choice presents the project through the relationship between its two leads, a different emphasis from packaging a solo album around a succession of guest appearances.
Mass Appeal’s official collection extends that presentation across several physical formats. Listings include a lenticular CD, cassette, standard vinyl, a zoetrope edition and a Lauren Halsey edition. These are distinct versions in the store, not additional tracks or separate albums.
The central release remains one jointly credited eleven-song project. Listeners can start with the official “A Good Day” video, then move to the complete album to hear the collaboration in its intended sequence. For .Paak and Cordae, the shift is straightforward: a recurring musical connection now has a full-length title of its own.
