Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are preparing a seven-track joint album drawing on R&B, Chicano soul and Latin musical traditions.
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are putting their shared creative life at the center of Lovers Rose. The pair discussed their first joint album in Keys’ November Vogue Italia cover story, published October 26, outlining a compact project with a musical direction beyond their familiar New York associations.
The Vogue Italia interview describes seven tracks connecting African American R&B, Chicano soul, Latin traditions and lowrider music culture. Keys characterizes the atmosphere as warm and restful, with the intention of giving listeners room to step away from the pressures surrounding them.
Swizz also describes the pleasure of sharing the writing process with his wife. The emphasis is on exchanging ideas in the same room and making something listeners might not immediately expect from the two artists together, rather than reproducing the styles most closely attached to their individual careers.
The project also has an immersive component. Boardroom reported that Lovers Rose is being developed as an immersive sonic installation for early 2027, giving the collaboration a presentation beyond a conventional album announcement.
That distinction leaves more to learn about how audiences will encounter the work. The seven-track description establishes the scale of the music, while the installation framing introduces another part of the project that has not yet been explained through a full public rollout or detailed event schedule.
The announcement offers a clear creative premise before a precise release calendar: a joint project built around warmth, connection and soul. With no specific album release date announced in the interview, the next concrete details will be the music itself and how the promised immersive experience takes shape.
