Winston-Salem Rapper OutWest Wade Pushes Forward With “Numbers After Hours” Mixtape and a Mission to Inspire

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Rising rapper and street artist OutWest Wade, representing the Tre 4 movement, is building momentum from his hometown while aiming for national recognition. Known for his raw perspective and determination, the Winston-Salem native is using his platform to show that success is possible regardless of environment or obstacles.

“What makes me stand out is not just the industry — it’s the city I come from,” Wade said. “I live in a fast city with not much support when it comes to the game. I want to show you can make it through any situation and still rise to the top.”

Building a Name Through Performance

OutWest Wade has steadily grown his presence through live performances and regional exposure. His early milestones include a debut show with more than 300 attendees, appearances at showcases connected to BET Awards weekend events, and participation in a showcase hosted by DJ Envy.

He has also performed across multiple Southern markets, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina, while appearing in events such as the Diamonds of Atlanta Fashion Show. His catalog continues to expand, including a collaboration with Big YBA.

Overcoming Industry Barriers

Wade’s journey has not been without setbacks. He cites gatekeeping within the industry, unreliable playlist placements, and ineffective management as some of the biggest challenges he has faced.

“I dealt with people that kept the gates closed even after putting in the work,” he said. “Bad management and promoters who couldn’t take me to the next level.”

Despite those experiences, he has remained focused on growth and independence, using each setback as motivation to push harder.

Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, OutWest Wade envisions a future defined by stability, success and impact.

“In the next few years, I see myself financially stable, solidified in the music industry, and able to buy a home for my family,” he said. “I want to be an inspiration to the youth in my city and open doors for others putting in the work.”

His broader goal includes expanding his reach nationwide and gaining the attention of major record labels.

“Numbers After Hours” and What’s Next

OutWest Wade is currently promoting his mixtape Numbers After Hours, with a goal of reaching one million streams across all platforms. The project reflects his grind, experiences and commitment to building a lasting presence in music.
