Rod Wave has returned with his seventh studio album, “Don’t Look Down,” a sprawling new release that arrives with fresh collaborations, cinematic visuals and a major arena tour on the horizon.
Rod Wave officially released “Don’t Look Down” on Friday, August 28, via Alamo Records, marking his first full-length project since 2024’s “Last Lap.” The digital edition runs 24 tracks and keeps the Florida singer and rapper’s emotionally charged sound at the center while bringing in a small group of guests.
The project opens with “Summer Joy Intro” featuring Summer Joy and includes previously released singles “Feed the Streets,” “Piece of Your Love” and “Hustle.” Luv Von appears on “Mainstay,” while the digital tracklist also includes collaborations involving Hazlett and Aimee Carty, before Rod closes the album with “Toast.”
“Don’t Look Down” also extends a rollout that has leaned heavily into visuals. Rod released a new video for “Mainstay” featuring Luv Von alongside the album, following the cinematic “Piece of Your Love” short film and the official “Hustle” video that helped build anticipation through the summer.
As Complex noted ahead of the release, the album is Rod Wave’s seventh studio LP and follows a run of five consecutive Top 3 debuts on the Billboard 200. Listeners can stream “Don’t Look Down” now on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
The release also sets the stage for Rod’s upcoming “Don’t Look Down Tour,” which is scheduled to begin September 12 in Philadelphia and continue through November 19 in Atlanta. Fridayy is set to support the arena run, which includes multiple-night stops in markets including Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago, Orlando and Atlanta.
For Rod Wave, the new album adds another chapter to a catalog that has turned deeply personal songwriting and melodic rap into sustained chart success. “Don’t Look Down” is available across major streaming services now, giving fans the full project ahead of his return to arenas this fall.
