‘Champagne’ opens with spoken word layered over a delicate piano line and ambient synths, creating an introspective atmosphere. As the chorus arrives, the energy lifts with a bouncier rhythm, adding momentum without losing the emotional core of the track. The single marks a step forward in RAPHAEL’s artistic journey, setting him up for an exciting year.
Recounting the deeply personal journey behind the track, RAPHAEL dives in, “In a world where we’re increasingly being silenced, I wanted to reclaim my voice. I needed to unlearn my silence and declare my authentic self.”
RAPHAEL is a Nigerian-born singer, songwriter, and producer who moved to England at the age of eleven and is now based in London. As a lifelong music lover, he wrote his first song at just seven years old. Formerly known as RAPH SOLO, he spent over a decade building a foundation in pop music, and after a successful rebranding in 2024, RAPHAEL released 7 AM, a deeply personal and genre-bending album. Looking forward to 2025, he emerges with new music on the horizon.
