Phoebe Bridgers is giving fans an unforgettable first listen to her new solo album, Lost Weekend, through a series of immersive planetarium screenings around the world. The events will begin on August 10 and continue through the album’s official release on August 14, transforming the traditional listening party into a full audiovisual experience.

Presented in partnership with Spotify, the album will play in full inside more than 40 planetariums across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. Each screening will feature either a custom dome presentation created by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi or an immersive laser show designed by Laser Fantasy, according to Pitchfork.

The celestial setting feels closely connected to the visual world surrounding Lost Weekend. Rather than simply previewing the record through speakers in a conventional venue, Bridgers is creating an atmosphere that encourages listeners to experience its music alongside expansive images, shifting light and the scale of a planetarium dome.

Every screening will be completely phone and camera free, with attendees required to secure their devices inside Yondr pouches before entering. The decision removes the distraction of recording and posting, allowing the audience to hear the project together without screens interrupting the experience.

The planetarium rollout also gives Lost Weekend a release-week identity that extends beyond an ordinary album campaign. By pairing the music with two different visual presentations, each participating venue can offer its own interpretation while preserving the shared feeling of hearing the record before or during its worldwide arrival.

With Lost Weekend, Phoebe Bridgers is turning the first listen into an event built around atmosphere, attention and discovery. The worldwide screenings invite fans to step away from everyday distractions and experience the album beneath a dome filled with stars, nightscapes and immersive light.
