Miley is opening a new chapter with a September album release, a streamlined stage name and two major Los Angeles shows on the calendar.
Miley Cyrus has announced her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, which is set to arrive on September 18 via Atlantic Records. The new project marks the start of a fresh era for the Grammy winner, who is now professionally using simply “Miley”, according to Complex.
The singer framed the record around the way music can move through every part of a person’s life. In her announcement, Miley described music as “powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong,” adding that the title reflects both joy and heartbreak as well as everything in between.
Bass Persuades follows 2025’s Something Beautiful and extends a prolific run for the 33-year-old artist. The upcoming album is also her first full-length release under Atlantic, with her official store listing a 10-song tracklist that includes collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.
Alongside the album announcement, Miley confirmed two headlining concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and October 18, with Model/Actriz appearing as special guest. The dates will mark Miley’s first time headlining the Hollywood Bowl, a venue she said she has long loved as a fan.
The rollout also arrives as Miley embraces a more stripped-down public identity, dropping “Cyrus” from her professional billing while retaining the name that has defined her career for nearly two decades. The change gives Bass Persuades an additional sense of reset as she moves from the visual world of Something Beautiful into a new album cycle.
Miley’s latest era comes during an emotional period following the recent death of her godmother, Dolly Parton, whose influence she has repeatedly credited throughout her life and career. With Bass Persuades due September 18 and the Hollywood Bowl shows following in October, the singer is setting up a fast-moving fall centered on new music and a major return to the stage.
