Jaden Smith is giving his pocket-packed Christian Louboutin backpack another spotlight, calling the utility-heavy design the best thing he has made while gifting one to Chase B.
Jaden Smith is putting the focus back on a new Christian Louboutin backpack from his menswear work after presenting one to producer Chase B. Smith wrote on Instagram, “Houston @ogchaseb Thank You My Brother, Best Thing Ive Ever Designed.”
The black leather bag is built around a dense grid of purpose-labeled exterior compartments, turning organization into the main visual idea. Vogue previously described a 12-pocket leather backpack from Smith’s debut collection as a key part of his “TCT Formal” aesthetic, with individual pockets marked for specific contents.
That very specific storage system is also what sparked jokes online once the bag resurfaced. One X commenter quoted by Complex called it a “pickpocket’s dream,” while other replies joked that the labels could make it easier to know where valuables are stored; others simply praised the design.
Christian Louboutin’s U.S. site currently lists a related Tactical multi-pocket tote at $3,790, but the exact 12-pocket backpack shown in Smith’s recent clip does not appear to have a dedicated product listing under that description. Complex likewise reported on September 19 that no price or release date had been announced for the backpack itself.
The piece sits inside Smith’s broader work as Christian Louboutin’s first Men’s Creative Director, a role the house announced in 2025. His remit covers four men’s collections each year across shoes, leather goods and accessories, and his first full collection has included footwear, belts, sunglasses, bags and other utility-driven pieces.
The latest attention gives the backpack a fresh viral moment months after a 12-pocket version was previewed during Smith’s debut rollout. For now, the conversation around it is being driven as much by the visible labeling and abundance of compartments as by Smith’s own claim that it is the strongest thing he has designed.
