For Atlanta’s DeneQuia Towns-Able, success has never been measured solely by record sales, streaming numbers, or industry accolades. While many know her as a dynamic singer-songwriter capable of seamlessly blending R&B, gospel, pop, neo-soul, jazz, country, and hip-hop influences, her story extends far beyond the stage. DeneQuia has quietly built a multifaceted empire rooted in resilience, entrepreneurship, family, and community impact. In doing so, she proves that true success is about creating a legacy that lasts.
Music has been woven into the fabric of DeneQuia’s life from the very beginning. Raised in a musical family and nurtured through church choirs, she developed a passion for performance at an early age. Her natural talent later led her to receive classical opera training, expanding her vocal range and artistic versatility. Yet behind the music existed a journey marked by profound personal loss. After the passing of both her parents and later her brother, DeneQuia found herself leaning on music not just as a creative outlet, but as a source of healing and strength.
One of the most pivotal moments in her life came through a conversation with her brother before his passing. Encouraging her to trust her gift and stop waiting for perfection, he urged her to release the music she had been working so hard to create.
“My brother told me, ‘God gave you a blessing and you need to use it,'” DeneQuia recalls.
That encouragement ultimately led to the release of The Art of a Woman in 2017, a project that remains one of the defining milestones of her career. More than an album, it became a testament to perseverance, faith, and honoring the people who believed in her most.
Today, DeneQuia continues to chart her own path through Boss Lady 365 ENT, the independent record label she founded in 2023. For her, independence represents far more than business ownership—it symbolizes freedom, empowerment, and the ability to build generational wealth while maintaining creative control.
“I needed my own staple,” she explains. “Being independent is queen to me.“
That entrepreneurial mindset extends well beyond the music industry. Inspired by her children and driven by a passion for family-centered experiences, DeneQuia and her family launched JJ’s Toys & More, LLC, a thriving party rental company specializing in bounce houses, water slides, carnival games, and entertainment services. Named after her oldest son, the business has become more than a commercial venture; it has evolved into a vehicle for community outreach, supporting food drives, school supply giveaways, and partnerships with organizations across Georgia.
DeneQuia’s commitment to service is deeply personal. As the mother of a son with autism, she has become a passionate advocate for autism awareness and mental health initiatives. Through charitable events, public appearances, and community engagement, she consistently uses her platform to amplify causes that directly impact families and underserved communities.
Her creative ambitions continue to expand into new territories as well. Alongside her husband, comedian John Able, widely known as Super Dad Comedy, DeneQuia has ventured into acting, directing, and content production. Together, the couple has developed comedy sketches, entertainment content, and larger-scale projects, including the upcoming series LMAO, scheduled for release on Tubi and Amazon Prime Video in 2026. The move further demonstrates her ability to evolve while remaining true to her creative vision.
Whether she’s performing on stage, managing multiple businesses, producing content, advocating for important causes, or raising a family, DeneQuia approaches every endeavor with the same unwavering determination. Her journey serves as a reminder that success isn’t about limiting yourself to one dream—it’s about having the courage to pursue all of them.
Despite wearing many hats—artist, entrepreneur, CEO, producer, wife, mother, advocate, and community leader—her mission remains refreshingly simple: inspire others to keep going.
“Don’t give up,” she says. “Don’t let anyone change you. Stay creative, unique, and know the business.”
For DeneQuia Towns-Able, the path from singer-songwriter to successful business owner and community changemaker has never been about choosing one passion over another. Instead, she is proving that with faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity, it’s possible to build something far greater than a career—it’s possible to build a legacy.
