B2K’s long-awaited return to the studio reaches its next milestone when Eclipse arrives on November 6.
The reunited R&B group will release Eclipse through BPC Music Group, bringing Omarion, J-Boog, Raz-B and Lil Fizz back together for their first full-length studio album in more than two decades. The project follows Pandemonium!, which featured the chart-topping “Bump, Bump, Bump.”
Listeners have already heard two songs associated with the new project. “Mileage” opened the comeback in July, and the group followed with the bass-driven “Lil Freak” in October, as Rated R&B reported.
“Mileage” arrived on July 17, 25 years after the release of the group’s debut single “Uh Huh.” Produced by Ethos, it was previewed during B2K’s Verzuz appearance opposite Pretty Ricky before its official release.
The single also came with a Bobby Yan-directed video that pairs the group’s choreography with automotive imagery. It offers a look at the four members performing together as the album approaches.
In a YAMS Magazine interview covered by HitsCulture, the group discussed making a full album rather than splitting the project into two parts. The members also described the new music as a reflection of their present-day perspectives on relationships.
November 6 is the announced release date, although the complete tracklist and guest list had not been disclosed in the reports available ahead of release. The album brings the quartet’s reunion beyond live performances and into a new collection of recordings.
