Ariana Grande plans to step away from the public spotlight after completing The Eternal Sunshine Tour. The singer’s representative confirmed that she will reduce her public-facing appearances following an intense period of touring, releasing music and dealing with continued commentary about her appearance.
According to People, Grande will begin her break after the tour concludes at London’s O2 Arena on September 1, 2026. Her representative said she has enjoyed returning to the stage and remains grateful for the support she has received from fans throughout the tour.
The decision comes as public scrutiny surrounding Grande’s body and health has intensified across social media. Grande has previously encouraged people to stop commenting on the appearances of others, explaining that outsiders rarely understand what someone may be experiencing privately.

Grande has also withdrawn from the upcoming West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George. She had been expected to star opposite her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey, but the production will now move forward with another performer taking her place.
The announcement does not suggest that Grande is permanently retiring from music or acting. Instead, the break will allow her to reduce her visibility after completing one of the busiest periods of her career, which has included touring, recording and several major film projects.
Grande is expected to finish the remaining dates of The Eternal Sunshine Tour before beginning her time away from the spotlight. Her decision highlights the pressure artists can experience when attention surrounding their personal appearance repeatedly overshadows their creative work.
