Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Antonio Cordua continues to define his independent path with “Sweet Thing,” a warm, emotionally open new single that explores the uneasy space between wanting a meaningful connection and being afraid to fully surrender to it.

Long before this current run of releases, he competed at an elite level in Swedish TeamGym. The Swedish Gymnastics Federation documented his return to the national team following a severe 2018 leg and ankle injury that had taken him away from competition for several years. He ultimately represented Sweden again at the 2022 European TeamGym Championships, where the Swedish senior men’s team earned bronze. That background adds another layer to Cordua’s artistic strengths. Resilience, patience and self-reliance are not simply themes that read well in a biography.
