Teknique Cares proudly celebrated the graduation of 20 students from its Business of Beauty Program during a special showcase held at Atlas High School on Friday. The event highlighted the students’ hard work, creativity, and dedication through live model presentations, professional photoshoots, and business presentations that demonstrated the skills they developed throughout the program.
Led by The Teknique Agency, a Black-owned creative and beauty agency with more than 15 years of industry experience, the Business of Beauty Program equips young people with technical beauty skills, entrepreneurship training, professional development, and career readiness tools to prepare them for future success.
Family members, educators, community leaders, and industry professionals gathered to honor the graduates as they showcased their talents and celebrated a significant milestone in their personal and professional journeys.
The event featured student-created beauty looks on live models, portfolio photography, networking opportunities, and recognition of each participant’s accomplishments. The graduates successfully completed a curriculum designed to expose them to careers in beauty, branding, business development, and creative entrepreneurship.

“Today was about more than beauty, it was about confidence, opportunity, and showing these young people what is possible when talent meets preparation,” said Yannize Joshua, Co-founder of The Teknique Agency and Teknique Cares. “Watching these 20 students present their work and celebrate their achievements reminds us why this program exists. We are committed to creating pathways that empower young people with real skills, industry exposure, and the belief that they can build successful futures for themselves.”
Teknique Cares continues to invest in workforce development and youth empowerment through innovative programming that bridges education, mentorship, and career exploration. The Business of Beauty Program is one of several initiatives designed to introduce students to viable career opportunities while fostering creativity, professionalism, and entrepreneurship.
